Motivation
Within the patient and transport we to minimize the spread of diseases as best as possible to reduce the of our patients and staff. A complete disinfection of the ambulance cars after each transport is not possible, therfore we have to be aware of the of contamination.
Potential Solutions
Following solutions could be addressing this gap.
If a patient is identified as infectious after he/she was transported by the ambulance, we have to back trace all contact stations/persons of the ambulance car team and notify them, as the car is not disinfected after each transport.
Rationale & related CM function(s)
The existence of hazardous agends within the ambulance service has to be identifed
To manage the incident, a COP should be run and updated accordingly
A communication plan and documentation has to be available for such cases
